Purim Fun

These were some very professional and delicious hamentashen made by Sisterhood members and friends.

These children always dress up in great costumes! The Purim Pizza Party, Purim shpeil, Megillah reading, and dessert and raffles combined to make a wonderful, silly, loud celebration!

Rabbi Goodman, in traditional Cow costume, was assisted by some friendly farmers.

President Debby Rood Goldman and First Man, Steve Rood Goldman.  The First man had a pizza on his head.

What a cute little Harry Potter! You can see some of the many beautiful raffle baskets put together by the Sisterhood.

These are some dressed up brothers!

It’s always great to show off an adorable grandchild!

Carolyn Hoera and Peter Tittler posed for a shot.

Marc Zukerman posed with his boys. Marc Zukerman and Mark Temares wrote this year’s funny and educational Purim shpeil.

With only one quick read through, Director Zukerman was able to get a nice performance from his young actors.

Cantor Lavranchuk sang with some of the younger crowd.

A student reads her part in the shpeil.

A small emoji got bopped by a cow during the reading of the Megillah!

Lots of heads got bopped!

The Sisterhood had fantastic raffles this year!  One young multiple winner showed off some of her prize packages.

I love this photo of adorable kids being hugged by Dad.

What a week!  Sue Sherman provided some wonderful cheese and cracker snacks for the March 3rd Wine Tasting Event.

We had just the right kinds of snacks to pair with the delicious wines.

Our Wine educator taught and entertained more than twenty students for three hours...some of the wines were kosher!  The Total Wine store was great!

The Rabbis Goodman posed for a nice shot together.

We hope this event is held again in the near future!

One of our former Religious school students coached some current students on the finer points of Nintendo 64!

We had some really great prizes at this year’s Purim Carnival.  One of the students gave the suggestion to have lots of emoji things, so we got lots of emoji things.

Donuts on a string...that remains one of our top games every year.

The Balloon pop game is also fun.

Some new friends looked like they knew what they were doing at Knock Hockey.

Some old friends came back to help for the Carnival. Thank you to Confirmation students Alana, Molly, Cary, Jake G, Jackie, and Arianna.  Thanks to parents and teachers, and some former and future GCJC Presidents.... Robyn Clark, Deborah Zukerman, Margie Edelman, Andrea Krupen, Mark Schlossberg, Mark Temares, Peter Tittler, Alan Schoenfeld, Rabbi Goodman, Cantor Lavranchuk, and Carolyn Hoera for helping to set up, run, and clean up the carnival.

This is the third year that we have used the Rood Goldman donated Foosball game!

Wheel of fortune!

Rabbi Goodman got three bulls eyes in a row!

Two tall guys wanted to play the donut game.

One of our students got to celebrate his birthday with all the kids at the Carnival!  He shared a great big cake with the whole crowd.

Hope you get a sense of the fun we have had over the past few weeks.  Another blog will come out in April!
