School’s (Almost) Out For Summer!

Image
A student shows off his version of a hamsa, after the students viewed some of the work by Indian artist Siona Benjamin. How about this one?  Lovely. Some of the student artwork on display in our classroom. Here is another Havdalah ceremony, during which every student gets to participate...eventually. The Havdalah ceremony takes place at the end of every Sunday service. The Passover Model Seder was held in the Social Hall on March 25.  Many thanks to Margie Edelman, Cheryl Minsky, Cantor Lavranchuk, Rabbi Goodman, Mr. Korn, Mr. Shapiro, Ms. Isopo and Arianna Isopo for helping to run the Seder, serve food set up and clean up. Thanks to all the families who donated ritual and traditional foods for the Seder. How is the parsley? They students are leaning as part of the service. Blood,. Frogs. Hail. Locusts...... Darkness. Boils. Cattle Disease.... The Cantor led the students in some traditional and new songs during the Seder. The students had designed their own Passover coasters on these tumbled marble tiles. Here’s anothe...
